What is a madlib?

A madlib is a form of word game where players are prompted to fill in missing words in a story, script or paragraph, usually with the intention of creating a humorous outcome. The players are given a series of empty spaces that correspond with parts of speech such as nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. The players are then asked to supply words of their choosing to fill the blank spaces, without initially seeing the story. After all the blank spaces are filled, the resulting complete story is then read aloud, often with hilarious and unexpected results. Madlibs can be played alone or in a group, with friends or family, and are enjoyed by people of all ages. They are a great way to enhance vocabulary skills, encourage creativity, and have fun with language.
